This Privacy Policy explains how Infinity 600 ("Infinity 600", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, stores, processes and shares information when you download, register with, access or use the Infinity 600 mobile application ("App").
By registering with or using Infinity 600, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand how information submitted through the App will be handled.
1. PURPOSE OF INFINITY 600
Infinity 600 is an information-collection and reporting platform through which registered users may submit information and photographs relating to vehicles observed by them, including vehicles that may potentially qualify as End-of-Life Vehicles ("ELVs"), abandoned vehicles, old vehicles or other vehicles that may be relevant to authorised or eligible parties.
The App may enable eligible users to receive rewards for valid first information, subject to the applicable Terms and Conditions and verification of the information submitted.
Infinity 600 itself does not guarantee that any vehicle reported through the App is an End-of-Life Vehicle or is liable to be removed, impounded or scrapped. Such determination shall be made only by the competent authority or other authorised party in accordance with applicable law.
2. INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT
Depending upon the features used and permissions granted by the user, we may collect the following categories of information:
A. Registration and Account Information
We may collect information such as:
Name;
Mobile number;
Email address, if provided;
City, district or area;
User category/occupation, where applicable;
Account and profile information; and
Other information voluntarily provided during registration.
B. Vehicle Information
When a user reports a vehicle, we may collect:
Photographs of the vehicle;
Vehicle registration number visible in the photograph;
Vehicle type/category;
Approximate age or condition, where reported;
Date and time of reporting;
Location at which the vehicle was observed; and
Other information voluntarily submitted concerning the vehicle.
Users should, wherever reasonably possible, submit photographs focused on the concerned vehicle and its registration number and avoid intentionally photographing unrelated individuals or private premises.
C. Location Information and Background Location
Where the relevant feature is enabled and the user grants permission, Infinity 600 may collect precise or approximate location information.
For authorised field employees, Infinity 600 uses a Field Duty Travel Tracking feature. During active field duty, the App may collect the employee's location at approximately five-minute intervals, including when the App is running in the background or when the device screen is locked.
Background location is required because field employees travel through their assigned areas while performing field duties and cannot be expected to keep the App continuously open on the screen. This location information is used to record and verify field travel, calculate the distance travelled during assigned duty and support verification of travel-related payments or reimbursements.
Field Duty Travel Tracking is limited to authorised field-duty activity. The normal duty period is 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST and location tracking is not intended for monitoring employees for unrelated purposes outside their authorised field duties.
Before background location permission is requested, the App will provide a prominent disclosure informing the employee that location may be collected during active field duty even when the App is in the background or the device screen is locked. The employee will be required to grant the applicable location permission through the Android permission process.
Location information may also be collected when a user submits a vehicle report for purposes such as recording where the reported vehicle was observed, verifying the authenticity of the report, preventing duplicate or fraudulent submissions and maintaining an audit trail.
Location information collected through Infinity 600 is not used for advertising or unrelated user profiling.
Prominent disclosure inside the App
Importantly, the Privacy Policy by itself is not the same thing as the prominent disclosure referred to in Google's message. Your developer should also show a disclosure screen immediately before requesting the background-location permission.
D. Device and Technical Information
We may automatically collect limited technical information, including:
Device type;
Operating system;
App version;
Device or application identifiers;
IP address;
Date and time of access;
Crash / error information; and
